This position is responsible for facilitating structured and strategic engagement and events across an organization with 9000+ teammates and all operating offices. The selected candidate will build a strategy and vision around the way we engage and connect teammates globally and will work closely with cross-functional groups such as Communications, HR, Marketing, IT, Facilities, Innovation, and Strategy to find creative ways to make teammates in all offices feel connected and infused with the UA Culture through events, meetings and other creative ways.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop a 5+ year global strategy for future Global Meetings inclusive of Sales Meetings, Account Visits, Creative Kickoffs, Summits and other Product/Sales events, defining what our future will look like, and influencing budgets, headcount, physical space, and all other aspects of these events.
Develop and strengthen the skills and management style of the existing team and lay out a plan for what is needed to build and empower the team over the next 3-5 years.
Create a Global engagement strategy and internal campaigns aimed at driving a consistent culture awareness and engagement across the organization at all levels.
Work with the International Managing Directors and Teammates within the Brand to build out playbooks to help train and educate teammates globally on the practices, processes and UA standards for events, hospitality needs and Give Back efforts that will drive increased associate engagement and best business practices.
Own, drive and communicate the overall Master Calendar for the entire Culture Team and Organization and infuse a plan to recognize Global Celebrations and therefore educating the masses on Cultural happenings not necessarily related to the Brand.
Build relationships and communication cadence with each regional office and Managing Director and understand their needs and ways to connect their offices back to Headquarters and infuse the UA culture.
Ensure all internal communication plans are integrated and aligned with all that is going on around the world by partnering with our International teams and internal communications.
Serve as the central hub for key activities and the connection back to Headquarters- linking each office to the appropriate team to ensure UA 101, onboarding, recruiting and other functions are being considered.
Define a form of measurement of success for this role and support function for the Brand.
Critical Skills
Prior experience creating an events and engagement strategy for multiple offices around the globe.
Proven experience driving a premium Brand culture throughout and organization.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure of deadlines, while working independently. Knows how to escalate appropriately.
Proven intellect, creative, compelling, driven. Not afraid to lead others past their comfort zone(s). Creates a sense of urgency and is energized by speed.
Proven experience working well and communicating with others to maintain and build cross-functional (internal and external) relationships with a multicultural understanding.
Prior experience clearly expressing complex ideas, preparing progress reports, making presentations, writing proposals and managing multiple budgets across the organization. Proven excellent communicator across multiple offices across the globe.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity; understanding of where events, policies and practices may need to be adjusted to be culturally relevant.
