The Senior Director, Social Media and Content Marketing serves as the lead strategic voice and coach for the social media team and practice within the region.
The Senior Director, Social Media and Content Marketing serves as the lead strategic voice and coach for the social media team and practice within the region. This role will develop, implement and integrate social media and content marketing strategies into our core services, growing the Razorfish business by serving client’s strategic marketing needs. The Sr. Director is a team lead and oversees a portfolio of assigned clients and contributes to ongoing new business development.
Responsibilities:

Job Specific
Evangelizes the role of social media and content marketing for brand and business growth, and can translate into real-world practices and applications
Can seamlessly navigate between social media concepting and social media strategy/platform expertise
Possesses deep expertise in creating content marketing strategies and plans that solve for specific client pain points and deliver real business value
Ability to delegate efficiently and manage internal social practice and client-specific teams in the development and execution of effective plans for clients
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communications and presentation skills
Proven internal collaboration skills with other agency teams such as Creative, Analytics, Planning and Tech
Ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external initiatives/projects in a deadline-driven environment
Management/Leadership
Is seen as the lead resource for establishing the social media practice as a key driver of revenue and margin growth within the office and region
Manages the recruitment, retention and professional development of the social media team
Determines the correct roles, responsibilities and expertise needed to scale and grow social and content marketing work including resource and budget planning
Represents Razorfish at external events and is active as a social and content marketing thought leader
Operating in a collaborative way with a positive attitude is key to success
Qualifications:

Education

(BA/BS) in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field; Advanced degree in Advertising, Marketing, or similar preferred.

Experience
7+ years of experience in social media, community management, or digital PR
Experience using analytics and research to drive business decisions
Experience developing apps, web sites, and partnerships for promotional and commercial purposes
Experience collaborating closely with creative teams
7+ years managing and developing teams
Milestones
Proven ability:
to create and manage a social media and content marketing discipline within an agency or business
to develop high-level social and content marketing strategy, leverage social content, toolsets and innovations across platforms and integrate social programming and content into overall marketing strategy
Deep knowledge of all aspects of the social and content marketing space: platforms, vendors, measurement, content creation, paid media, technology, UX
Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a highly collaborative environment
Has demonstrated a track record of participating in successful new business pitches
Note: This position will require frequent travel multiple times per month
