Senior Director Cloud Marketing Oracle San Francisco

This Director or Senior Director (title offered depends on experience), Cloud Marketing will report to the VP of North America Marketing and will manage a team responsible for integrated marketing activities to support the Oracle. This leader will be the CMO of the Cloud segment and oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing plans for the North America region that combine events, online, digital marketing, influencer relations and other marketing tactics to generate awareness and build pipeline for the relevant Oracle solutions in this space.

Responsibilities include:
Head of Segment Marketing: This leader will be the ‘CMO’ of a segment marketing team. He/she will build a segment marketing plan that supports category leadership. The plan will include building creative campaigns and driving an integrated marketing program to build awareness, engagement and generate new business for Oracle.
Executive Sales Engagement: Plan and communicate integrated marketing plan and activities to senior sales teams. Present to sales leadership and provide consistent communications on status of plan execution and results.
Content and Messaging: Coordination of messaging and supporting assets that maximize pipeline, revenue and awareness for designated campaign focus area. Content development and execution will support assets and activities such as online programs, webcasts, call campaigns, and events that map to appropriate target audience and customer buying cycle stage.
Ongoing Marketing Management and Execution: Ensure execution and managing to specific pipeline generation targets for designated campaign. Works with team members to manage lead generation/nurturing campaigns by determining the most effective points of interaction to target appropriate audience and meet defined metrics. Programs include cross channel activities that engage and nurture customers across the customer buying cycle- from awareness through pipeline close ensuring the right assets and activities are implemented to support each phase accordingly. Adjusts within the campaign flow as needed to optimize pipeline contribution.
Lead Management and Reporting: Regular review and analysis of team’s MQLs to make sure activities are driving leads with the most potential and develop and implement action plans to address gaps. Refine team plans based on reporting data to continuously align marketing plan with sales metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
7-10 years marketing experience with at least 2 years in Software/Technology marketing; Campaigns, Field, or channel marketing background helpful.
Strong management experience with running direct/virtual/cross-functional teams focused on specific goals/outcomes, able to be effective in a highly matrixed environment
Strong focus on marketing metrics and continuous learning/improvement
Has run enterprise-class marketing campaigns in the past, in particular, demand generation and direct marketing with offers such as webcasts, eBooks, virtual conferences, etc..
Must have solid understanding of market segmentation; strategy, planning and execution of marketing activities, both online and physical
Excellent digital marketing skills and experience with building digital teams. .
Very strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to prepare presentations and be comfortable speaking to groups; must be comfortable dealing with sales/executive management; must be able to massage content to suite specific and targeting programs, customers, and industries
Must be familiar with or able to quickly learn a variety of business application systems, including but not limited to: CRM Tools, Eloqua, etc.

Position Location: Highly prefer candidates based within a commutable distance to Oracle’s office in New York, NY (Manhattan), Redwood City, CA (Oracle HQ) or San Francisco, CA. Role is based in North America and requires close coordination with virtual team.

Travel Component: approx. 10%-20% travel within US & Canada may be required to successfully fill this role
