8+ years of media advertising, with extensive experience in digital media.
Deep understanding of the media landscape, what impacts it, likely future developments and important innovations.
A solid understanding of the technology as well as the media and analytics.
Ability to rigorously analyze media activity and synthesize detailed data and trends into simple reports.
A passion for the web, always exploring and eager to showcase new opportunities.
A willingness to learn with a lot of patience to persevere.
Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple, relatable terms.

Description

Responsible for guiding the development and implementation of Apple’s advertising media worldwide. This includes both strategy and execution, driving the highest quality, most effective and innovative approach to media in the business. Accountable for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all placements through rigorous auditing and reporting. Work alongside our global media partner OMD in developing and executing our media communication strategy. Partner closely with the creative teams to ensure the right message is placed in the appropriate medium. The Apple Media team liaises with many different business units. As such, educating contemporaries on the role of media and fostering partnerships across groups is an essential requirement of every member of the team. Stay abreast of the latest trends and technological advances. Evaluate new digital opportunities and determine if they are appropriate for Apple. Invent new approaches when existing ones are no longer appropriate. Responsibilities specific to the Role Lead the initiative in evolving and fostering a new worldwide media approach. This includes initiating or reviewing advertising briefs and concepts to ensure proper consideration of the media and environment. Continue to educate internal creative, planning and cross-functional teams on the role of media, digital innovations, and opportunities. Provide a point of view on new marketplace developments and trends. Manage our agency partner in their WW execution of all media plans. Track budgets and performance through post reports and auditing. Work with OMD to continue finding media partnerships that create impact and go beyond an advertising deal. Within Apple, collaborate with the different business units on integration, analytics and learnings. A passion for the brand and understanding the role of media in Apple’s communications is essential to this role, allowing for creativity and forward thinking in developing innovative campaign opportunities.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred.
