Marketing Design Director Oracle New York

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly created, internal content agency that reports to Marketing. The Marketing Design Director will lead a small, scalable creative team that supports Oracle’s marketing campaigns and strategy. He/she will guide the creation of digital content and campaigns that will drive audience engagement and target new buyers for Oracle’s cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Align with Corporate Marketing and Sales to ensure common needs and goals are defined and met, in the spirit of open, cross-portfolio collaboration
Define metrics needed for marketing success
Create design solutions that support brand and marketing strategy while meeting user needs (ebooks, infographics, responsive websites, email marketing campaigns, etc.)
Create and present concepts and visuals (including user flows and wireframes) to internal and external stakeholders to clearly articulate the benefit and user experience of digital/mobile solutions
Collaborate with marketing managers, designers, UX leads, copywriters, and cross-functional teams to generate ideas and visuals to propose to leadership
Manage marketing design project activities and deliverables to keep initiatives on track
Manage the design QA process during the implementation phase, including the following:
Analyze competitor offerings, customer feedback, site metrics and usability reports to create user-centered designs
Effectively manage multiple projects—maintaining accuracy and attention to detail and meeting all stated deadlines
Lead and mentor junior team members
Create foundation within Marketing Design team to ensure
Customer-centric focus, leveraging our customers’ successes wherever possible and relevant
Results-driven, metrics-based marketing
Clear path to providing best-in-class campaigns and templates for use across social, digital, email, video (which can then be applied to print and events)
Foster a spirit of inspiration, solidarity, and pride of ownership in our collective marketing output
Desired Qualifications
8+ years working in a digital design capacity (3+ years in leadership position)
Ability to lead projects from discovery through development
Ability to manage design staff and freelancers as needed
Passionate about new digital standards, technologies and advancements in user experience
Excellent leadership and communication skills
A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
Technical knowledge:
High proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project-based/planning software
Moderate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
Experience guiding successful outcomes for projects based in motion graphics, photography, video (after effects, premiere, video production)
Travel Component: Minimal. Approx. 10% travel within the United States and Canada may be required to successfully fill this role.
