In this role, you will lead the Global Procurement team by developing a supply base that continuously optimizes cost and minimizes operational risk. In coordination with the Engineering team, you will identify, select and develop a flexible, effective and dependable supply base in support of our product roadmap. Drive the team to acquire deep understanding of product roadmaps and their relationship to current and future material and component technologies. This position will be located in Menlo Park, California
Responsibilities

Set clear goals and expectations for the procurement team
Provide resources for the team, and remove roadblocks for success
Give clear actionable feedback on a timely basis
Promote a synergistic interaction between Engineering and Procurement teams
Provide Engineering with valuable component-category industry trends and technology road map intelligence to be incorporated into new product designs.
Drive a continuous “best cost” improvement programs in collaboration with engineering, finance and supply planning teams.
Standardize the CTB (Clear to Build) material readiness planning and execution process at all key supplier factories
Develop, document and execute pertinent procurement strategies for component categories
Organize QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) with key suppliers to review quality, delivery, cost performance and improvement plans
Own the contractual and commercial relationship with finished good contract manufacturers and component sub-suppliers
Support all regulatory and social responsibility compliance requirements within Oculus and among the supply base
Gather and publish procurement dashboards and metrics including daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Lead and manage the procurement teams in USA and Asia
Identify and recruit the procurement team
Achieve deep knowledge of product roadmap, BOM and critical component sources
Identify risks and countermeasures to the product launch plans
Prepare supplier risk profiles and risk-mitigation plans
Support the selected ERP “procure to pay” modules (purchase orders, material planning, inventory control)
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain body of knowledge.
MBA degree
Advanced negotiation skills
Certified Purchasing Manager (ISM) desired
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in high-volume consumer procurement, sourcing, and/or supplier development
Expertise in electronics, mechanical, and optical product categories desired
Strong leadership and team management experience Extensive travel in Asia Pacific region (China mainland, Korea, Japan)
Unquestionable ethical principles. Ability to deliver business results in strict adherence to zero-tolerance ethical guidelines.
