ADP is hiring a Senior Director, Field Learning. This leader will need to collaborate closely with leaders throughout the business to proactively identify learning requirements to add value and establish learning as a strategic business partner. S/He will ensure learning priorities and resources are aligned with both the business strategy and L&P strategy. The Senior Director will lead teams responsible for designing, developing and delivering learning solutions that are specific to each Business Unit (BU), in collaboration with the Learning and Performance (L&P) COE and GTD for associates and clients aligned to his/her business unit. S/He will partner with the other Learning Leaders across the enterprise to develop strategies to support the deployment of ADP wide learning initiatives. Lastly, the Senior Director will highlight their BU strategies and influences overall project and deployment plans to meet the goals of the business. Success in this role is measured by the leader's ability to run an efficient learning team while delivering highly effective learning solutions that drive business results.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Staff management: Recruits, selects and manages learning team. Assigns roles, responsibilities and BU-level projects. Provides coaching and mentoring and supports continuous learning and staff development that enhances individual performance and team capabilities. Establishes clearly defined department and individual goals and objectives and communicates these to associates through department and performance planning. Provide periodic performance feedback vs. objectives and conducts annual performance reviews on all associates and makes compensation decisions. Responsible for hiring and terminating as required. Determine the department's training requirements and ensures timely and effective training schedules both formal and on-the-job, to enhance the skill base of the department.
Relationship Management: Works with colleagues to establish and enhance Learning and Performance as a strategic partner with senior management and cultivates relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization. Partners with internal business units to anticipate and respond to business and organizational needs and to ensure learning investments and resources are aligned to business strategy and priorities. Partners with field management to identify opportunities for innovation and service improvement and drive improved associate performance through coaching initiatives.
Performance Consulting: Proactively collaborates with business leaders to help identify and close performance gaps. Serves as primary point of contact for BU learning needs and questions. Conducts front end analysis to confirm gap can be addressed through training. Actively consult with business leaders and other internal customers to diagnose performance issues and develop appropriate solutions -- whether the solution contains a learning component or not.
Learning Analysis: Leads team in assessing and validating learning needs of business segment internally and externally using business success measures and learning metrics. Partners with COE in prioritizing needs and ensuring needs are fulfilled according to success measures. Prepares business cases with ROI justification for investments
Learning Design, Development and Delivery: Leads team in designing, developing and rolling out learning solutions, in collaboration with COE, to enhance individual, team and organizational performance. Deliver learning solutions and services for clients that are designed to lower the cost of service, increase client satisfaction, and increase client solution adoption.
Client Learning Business Development: Identifies and implements new business opportunities designed to grow learning services revenue and increase the overall value provided to clients while lowering the cost of service and increasing client solution adoption. Conducts cost benefit analysis to evaluate the viability of new revenue opportunities. Forecasts and manage revenue target (as applicable).
Marketing Communications: Leverages marketing communications strategies and materials developed by L&P COE to promote learning offerings internally and externally and achieve high levels of adoption.
Operations: Ensures team adherence to standard operating procedures established by L&P COE to ensure high quality, cost effective, scalable and timely output. Drives productivity improvements by continually innovating learning and development programs that ultimately drive greater associate and client satisfaction. Establishes performance and operating standards as they relate to associate learning and development and certification criteria.
Budgeting: Forecasts and manages to team's learning budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education:
BA/BS in Business Administration, or the equivalent in education and experience, required.
2. Experience:
8-10 years of experience including 5-8 years of People Leadership (direct or indirect)
* Extensive experience in a learning and development organization supporting adult learners, with in-depth knowledge of delivering a high quality learning experience.
* Proven track record of successfully managing a growth business in a service industry. Knowledge of payroll products and payroll industry preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge of multi-channel delivery methods.
