Job Summary
Provides global functional leadership to deliver security management and risk mitigation for Cummins. This includes but may not be limited to accountability for the following security functional excellence areas:
Employee Protection
Facilities Protection
Product Protection
Risk Assurance (investigations, Cummins Response Center, intelligence and travel security)
Ensure that the security strategies support the business goals of Cummins globally, with perspective of one-Cummins, working across the BUs and ABOs. Works with key stakeholders in GIS as well as other Cummins Business, Functional and ABO Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
Define, direct and implement security functional excellence across CMI
Work with Global Integrated Service (GIS), business units, ABO and functional areas to develop integrated security programs that provide value to the customer and appropriately manage CMI security risk.
With the Regional Security Directors, direct the continuous improvement of the security programs so that they are aligned with and capable of supporting the overall CMI risk management and organizational resilience objectives
Listen to and advise GIS Strategy Leaders on security best practices and options
Facilitate communication between Regional Security Directors to share risk profiles, best practices, experiences and resources
Communicate the business value of security to key stakeholders which includes but is not limited to GIS Functional Leaders, business leaders and customers
Understand and act on business compliance requirements related to the security function
Lead Global Security Risk Assurance Operations, including the Cummins Response Center.
Responsible for managing a team of security practitioners, FE security standards, supporting tools and processes.
Ensure that all security functions, programs and activities are traceable to overall CMI business objectives.
Support the Regional Security Directors in Developing fit for risk security strategies for the regions to implement
Provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering manager skills and development needs.
Leverage External Resources
Develops and maintains relationships with strategic partners
Ensures the development of strong relationships with security industry entities (such as ASIS, ISMA and OSAC) and business communities in Cummins’ locations.
Works with indirect purchasing to establish performance based and incentivized metrics for strategic partners
Contribute to implementing efficient strategic security spend
With the Regional Security Directors, evaluates security spend to identify cost reduction opportunities
Drives cost optimization through development of cost models that consider business needs, risk appetite and capital improvement costs.
Assists with annual budget preparation

Education
College, university, or equivalent degree or related subject required.
Significant security industry and risk management experience required.
ASIS Certiified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred
PMI Project Management Professonal (PMP) preferred

Quality/Improvement Skills
Black Belt or Master Black Belt a plus.
Green Belt certification preferred
Establishes a logical course of action for self and/or others to accomplish specific goals.
