Senior Art Director Amazon Prime Seattle

Amazon Prime is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Sr. Art Director to be a strong owner of the Amazon Prime visual experience. As a Sr. Art Director for Amazon Prime, you will create new visual styles and brand guidelines; own large global design and brand projects; and have opportunities to challenge yourself on a high level across many mediums including photography, video, and illustration.

As Sr. Art Director you will also work through ambiguity, using experience and determination to reach goals with minimal direction. You must be able to manage time and prioritize projects. You should be able to demonstrate through work experience that you embody Amazon's Leadership Principles, even if you've never worked for Amazon.


Responsibilities include:
· Collaborate with other VX and UX designers, product managers, developers, and business teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand solutions that further the progress of the Amazon Prime customer experience.
· Develop and drive the creation of assets that illustrate Prime benefits across mobile and desktop environments.
· Produce sketches, graphics, templates, layouts, themes, typography, and visual standards for merchandising and promotions across the retail web process.
· Manage design documentation, style guides, and our visual voice.
· Partner with the marketing team to create relevant assets for site merchandising, banner ads, email campaigns, and more.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· At least eight years of experience
· Demonstrated ability to oversee design teams
· A thorough understanding of photography and typography, including experience art directing photo shoots
· An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating excellent visual design skills, problem solving, and brand development
· Expert skill level in the standard tools of the design trade, e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and strong writing skills
· A proven track record of presenting to business stakeholders
· Design degree and/or 4-year college degree preferred
· Fluent in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in creating or directing motion graphics
