Director Supplier Quality Philips New Kensington

Lead a mature and highly motivated team of Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring that the processes are in place and are operating effectively to ensure that the purchased materials are correct and of the highest quality upon receipt and to work with suppliers when they are not.
Your challenge

Actively participate in the Supplier Quality Leadership team in creating, deploying and managing the Philips-wide framework for managing supplier quality related capabilities.
Team up with the New Product Development teams in identifying, assessing and selecting the right suppliers needed to ensure the success of the launch of new products.
Create and deploy a single aligned strategy in Supplier Quality and Regulatory Compliance.
Proactively ensure all suppliers consistently operate in a state of compliance and all products/parts/materials delivered to Philips consistently meet requirements

Your team

Your team is global with team members located at each of the Sleep and Respiratory Care centers including Murrysville, PA; Kennesaw, GA; and Shenzhen China.
The team of 27 is recognized throughout Philips as one of the highest performing Supplier Quality organizations and is used as a leading example of best practices.
Currently the team is looking to fill a number of openings which will provide you the additional and immediate opportunity to shape the team going forward.

With a functional reporting relationship to the Head of Supplier Quality for Philips you will be part of a key team tasked with building supplier quality capability for Philips and in continuously improving how we manage the quality relationships with our suppliers.
This is a high profile role, recognized by the Business Management Team as crucial to the success of the business.

We are looking for
A seasoned leader that has a track record of
developing a performing, global team
building relationships with critical suppliers
working with senior management to proactively and reactively address supplier and part related topics
building and continuous improvement of large, complex global systems
You should have previous experience in leading multicultural and geographically positioned teams
As a candidate you should have a STEM degree or equivalent, at least 10 years of business experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience leading a team responsible for an aspect of product quality.
