As the marketplace shifts to coverage on all platforms, we are looking to hire a Communications Director to work with new digital leadership in promoting and implementing new strategies. This role will work with NBCNews.com, TODAY.com, BreakingNews.com, MSNBC.com and our various apps/digital platforms.
• Direct promotion of digital content on a daily basis, plus relevant data and analytics and digital trend stories.
• Help identify speaking opportunities/panels for NBC News and MSNBC Digital teams.
• Serve as the primary liaison with digital leaders of NBC News on PR strategy.
• PR support for all shows across all news networks.
Qualifications/Requirements • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
• Digital experience a must, digital PR experience strongly preferred, experience in media communications a plus
• Willingness to travel and work after hours and on weekends with short notice
• Should have a passion for news and journalism
• Ability to interpret comScore and other digital research metrics for external and internal use
• Bachelor’s degree
