The Director, Brand Marketing will support all aspects of marketing strategy and communications for TuneIn. Responsibilities include brand building, delivering annual marketing plans and leading the delivery of business results with cross-functional teams. The Director is responsible for delivering world-class creative across video, digital, mobile, radio, print, out-of-home, experiential, and social activations. Performance Marketing is key focus of the TuneIn business and the ideal candidate would have experience driving user acquisition (SEM, SEO, Paid Social, Display). This role is responsible for being the primary agency lead, as well as building strong collaborative relationships across the organization and with key partners:
Sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, IMG, Learfield, Westwood One, Premier League/talkSport, ESPN, CBS Sports, NBC Sports)
Music (label and artist partnerships)
News (CNN, Fox News Talk, AP, NPR, Bloomberg, C-Span)
Talk & Audiobooks (WNYC, Gimlet Media, Findaway, USA Today)
The role will also be responsible for Business Development partnerships that have direct ties to marketing efforts. There will also be an emphasis helping the Sales team develop compelling content and partnerships with key advertisers.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of the brand and business strategy.
Support the development of the brand positioning and identity for TuneIn.
Develop marketing strategies and tactics to drive both the free/ad supported product and the TuneIn Premium subscription.
Drive greater collaboration between Marketing and cross-functional teams.
Conduct rigorous overall business and consumer/customer analysis. Translate consumer insights into key brand initiatives.
Key decision-maker in the evaluation and recommendation process for external agencies for specific marketing and advertising programs. Lead the day-to-day creative development process with agencies, in-house design team and/or other related marketing resources to deliver creative across the entire media-mix.
Applies ingenuity, creativity, analytical and organizational skills to identify and evaluate marketing strategies and tactics.
Oversight of budget and cost management for properties that he/she leads.
Media planning and buying.

Qualifications
Basic Qualification: Bachelor's degree, and 10+ years of Marketing/Advertising experience with 4+ years of people management.
Previous experience in brand management. Skills in brand positioning and a passion for Marketing and Advertising.
Passion for audio. Demonstrates an understanding and appreciation for audio content (sports/music/news/talk) with a comprehensive knowledge of streaming audio Apps.
Strong leadership skills. Create a compelling vision and lead change.
Excellent creative instincts. Experience leading internal and external creative development process.
Strong Production experience. Media planning and buying.
Experience running performance marketing campaigns and data analysis.
Marketing analytics/financial acumen. Strong base of analytic thinking. Consumer & Market Insights.
Strategic thinker. Business case development and understanding of Return on Investment.
Matrix management. Proven collaborator. Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
