We are seeking an experienced Ad Sales Executive to join our team. As a senior member of the team, you’ll help to provide integrated, cross-platform advertising solutions to key strategic clients. The Weather Company is a leader in this space by providing global, local, hyper local and qualified audiences at scale. The ideal cadidate would leverage TWC’s world-class products and services to provide marketing partners with a portfolio of solutions, across four screens. Portfolio solutions include on-property elements, such as WeatherFX, location targeting and native ad formats, sophisticated extension elements into ad exchanges, social platforms, and non-paid media channels. The successful hire will manage the business relationships to ensure that client’s needs and requirements are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage key strategic accounts in the Detroit Region
Develop high level relationships to serve as a trusted consultant with major clients to grow advertising revenue
Generate business plans to define how to best help client business needs drawing from TWCs extensive portfolio
Work with internal teams to develop client solutions
Heavy focus on client and agency relationship management
Achieve individual platform revenue goals
Education, Experience, Certification Requirements
7 years plus Outside Media Sales experience and 3 years experience in Digital Ad Sales required
Full sales cycle experience (from prospecting through account maintenance).
Consultative Sales experience.
Advertising Agency background and experience beneficial
Proficient in developing client proposals/presentations
Proficiency & experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans
Ability & flexibility to review own progress and adapt to changing objectives of the market
Excellent communication skills including being articulate in all environments
Automotive Knowledge/experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Action-oriented with a drive for results
Experience working with emerging platforms/applications
Extensive knowledge of platform selling with a constant desire to keep ahead of evolving technologies and industry developments
History of creativity and a solution-oriented approach to client business
Proven record of credibility in the market and with colleagues
Solid leadership skills and experience managing both internal-facing and client-facing activity
Strong client and industry contacts
