Job Description:
The position’s primary function is to oversee the project management team and implement creative process, managing workload and deadlines for projects across Viacom’s brands. This individual should be a leader, facilitating communication and collaboration and driving everyone towards a solution. The Director or Project Management will report to the VP of Production/Creative Operations.
Responsibilities
Coordinate group time management and scheduling based on the project and oversee creative process from pitch to execution ensuring the creative team has all that they need from assets to key information and delivers on time
Conduct and lead weekly status meetings and provide project updates as well highlight potential risk issues impacting service delivery to senior staff members
Facilitate all creative briefs and delegates to the design teams
Develop project plans and manage the execution of creative assets
Respond to incoming project requests, inquiries, and concerns with the highest level of customer service
Liaise with Design, Editorial and Video Production as well as assigned Velocity Integrated Marketing representatives
Receive, submit and reconcile third party invoices as well internal charges
Analyze fiscal quarter budget and utilization results; evaluate and track trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Facilitate Service Request Briefs and track progress of each project
Work closely with the independent Viacom networks and know appropriate contacts for implementing and executing promotional creative plans
Collaborate, conduct and lead weekly meetings with Business and Legal Affairs along with Music Licensing to ensure content is approved in all requested media
Project manage any other initiatives as necessary
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
Minimum of 6-8 years of account services or project management experience at an agency, broadcast / cable network, or national brand
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook) and project management/scheduling software a plus (Jira, Basecamp, etc).
Experience working closely with design + production teams
Experience managing a team of 3+
Excellent client / project management and organizational skills are essential
Expert ability to own and execute on project plans and schedules
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized individual with an attention to detail
Experience working closely with design + production teams
Solutions-oriented, detail-oriented, reliable and dependable, active listener, effective presenter and communicator
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to prioritize tasks and multi-task as needed
