Job Description:
Pega is looking for an experienced Product Director to oversee the team responsible for designing and developing applications specialized to the needs of the healthcare Industry. The Director, Product Development manages efforts to bring the healthcare specific applications to market within an established timeframe and budget through the creation of and implementation of tactical plans and programs. The Director partners with the Pega’s Industry SMEs to set strategic direction for the healthcare vertical. This person will also drive the day-to-day operations of the product management and development teams through tactics and planning that strike the proper balance across multiple competing needs.
The Director, Product Development also works to drive new bookings and radiation growth and customer success by providing business expertise and thought leadership to sales and marketing. This person will also provide leadership, coaching and guidance to optimize the productivity of the product development team and advance their capabilities and careers.
In this role, you will:
Provide oversight, thought leadership and direction during the framework development and also provide continuous feedback and implement changes to our development processes
Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to help develop multiple teams and advance their capabilities and careers.
Review the overall quality of the team’s deliverables
Provide feedback and suggestions on deliverables based on experience, knowledge and expertise
Provide industry and product support to Sales, Marketing, Professional Services and Training teams
Represent the company as an industry and solution expert with customers, prospects, and alliance partners
Provide market vision and leadership to help drive the vertical roadmap

The Person:
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of the healthcare industry and be able to provide leadership and direction for product development teams. This person has experience overseeing teams responsible for building applications either internally at a healthcare payer or with a healthcare vendor company.This person is experienced in providing coaching to develop the next level of management and has successfully mentored and overseen teams in the past.
Qualifications will include:
BA/BS or equivalent experience
8+ years of business or consulting experience within the healthcare industry
10+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or in Product Management
5+ year of management experience
3+ years of experience working in an agile/scrum environment.
The ability to act as a thought leader within Pega and the healthcare space
