Job Description:
Oracle Hospitality is currently seeking industry top talent to help support our business transformation from an on-Premise solution to a globally distributed, cloud based hosted solution. As the leader of the Hotel Application Engineering organization, you will be responsible for building and leading a high performing team focused on delivery and ongoing operations for our cloud customer base worldwide focused on the Hotel industry vertical.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide global leadership of the Oracle Hospitality Hotel cloud application team to deliver outstanding delivery and service for our customers
Partner with Oracle Hospitality Sales to ensure time to market, quality and customer satisfaction remain consistently excellent
Ensure successful transition from sales to delivery through go-live and into day two operations
Develop close relationships with Product Development to create a collaborative environment ensuring the cloud agenda is reinforced at every possible opportunity
Lead design sessions for custom private cloud environments adhering to Oracle standards while meeting customer requirements in a cost effective way
Define and implement build/automation goals for all Hotel applications within Oracle Hospitality to ensure time to market is minimized while maximizing reliability and consistency
Drive the implementation of new customer environments, maximizing margin through continuous improvement in team performance
Organize the day 2 operations team ensuring competencies and knowledge are applied consistently to client issues regardless of time-zone or location
Enhance team performance by championing automation for all tasks associated with delivery or day 2 operations
Drive the creation of Hotel application troubleshooting guides and mentor/instruct Oracle Hospitality Global Operations engineer on standard break/fix remediation
Participate in regular account reviews and road-mapping/planning sessions with our top customers
Provide worldwide input for ongoing capacity planning. Capacity planning includes ongoing monitoring and management to avoid unplanned capacity constraints or just-in-time capital investments
Develop and mentor junior staff
Create and contribute to an environment that is geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and customer service
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or computer related field
15+ years related experience of a best-in-class cloud or hosting organization (preferably Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or eCommerce)
Must possess proven track record of operational success in a series of roles with growing responsibilities including leading large teams of engineers
Must possess strong results orientation and a demonstrated ability to deliver against his/her strategy within challenging timeframes.
Must be an strong communicator and comfortable in presenting both in public and online to business and technical executives
Must have a broad, strong technical knowledge which encompasses Software Development, Dev-Ops, Release automation, Platform architecture, Database, Network, Load-balancing / Clustering and Security
Must have in-depth experience participating in or building/managing world class global teams
Must have a desire to mentor others
Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through other internal and external organizations and individuals (a track record of delivering results within a matrix business environment)
Strong leadership capabilities and strong intrapersonal skills required
Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude
Sets high standards with respect to the treatment of customers and peers
