Job Description:
This position is the visionary and leadership for teams that create, manage and maintain the technology and processes to secure Ingersoll Rand staff, data, resources, and establish and govern the controls required to meet policy, regulatory and contractual obligations that relate to Cyber Security.
Position Overview:
The Director of Cyber Security leads and manages the following functional groups:
Threat Management & Incident Response
Threat Assessment Management and Monitoring
Threat Intelligence
Security Information and Event Management
Incident Response
Security Engineering and Architecture
Participate in company project design reviews and deliver security solutions and secure practices.
Provide consultative support and direct involvement in technology architecture to ensure proper attention to security considerations and recommend secure solutions.
Examine project state with respect to security prior to promotion to production.
Support Third Party Security Assessments for IT Risk Management teams.
Leads in the development of Security Standards in support of Security Policy, Standards, and best practices.
Security Operations – manages the day to day operations in providing security protection services through:
Network Security
Firewall Management
VPN Management
Proxy Management
Network Segmentation
Secure Mobile Device Management
Secure Web Filtering
P2P Encryption
Multi-Factor Authentication
Data Encryption Services / Data Loss Prevention
End Point Security / Antivirus Management
Audit and Compliance Support
Security Forensics and Investigations
Qualifications:

Exceptional communication skills across multiple audiences.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to identify risks associated with business processes, IT operations, information security programs, and technology projects.
Coordinate critical, sensitive incidents spanning multiple geographies.
Supervise the activities of analyst(s) and engineer(s) with responsibility for repeatable quality, and investigative integrity.
Facilitate effective, comprehensive, and consistent communications, for various audiences, including steering committees and other executive levels.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area (computer science, computer management, information technology focus etc.) or equivalent work experience.
CISSP or CISM certification required.
10-15 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, IT Risk Management, Data Protection & Privacy, and Regulatory Compliance.
Expert leader with Cyber Security best practices and current and emerging technology.
Advanced knowledge in Payment Card Industry security requirements, HIPAA, SOX, and Safe Harbor requirements.
Proven leadership of teams of Cyber Security professionals.
NIST familiarity. Direct experience preferable.
Familiarity with security assessments and audits of security environment.
Strong business acumen, able to work effectively at all levels across the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to help business understand risk in business terms and make appropriate decisions.
Excels in understanding the current vulnerabilities, response, and mitigation strategies used in cyber security operations.
Develops metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of all security programs and personnel.
