Director, Business Operations & Planning (IoT) Salesforce San Francisco

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will provide operations management, planning, and executive communications for the IoT cloud. The ideal candidate has a keen understanding and passion for running and managing business operations. The candidate will work closely with the leadership team, but be expected to work autonomously to monitor, analyze and root cause a variety of operational metrics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Thought Partnership: Provides a key thought partnership role to drive the strategic agenda forward. Ensures the team is properly prepared and briefed for meetings. Conducts ad-hoc analysis and decision support
Planning : Collaborate with the Leadership Team to facilitate the process of internal project prioritization, implementation, and monitoring. Tracks activities and takes action as required to ensure that plans, projects, assignments, instructions, and decisions are effectively implemented by those given the responsibility
Communications : Writes and edits executive communications and presentations for internal and external audiences. Disseminates information and communicates ideas, ensures communications consistency throughout all levels; message content oversight, consistency, accuracy and format are the responsibility of this position
Operations : Manages and facilitates the Calendar, ensuring team success (e.g. staff meetings, all hands meetings, managers meetings, operations reviews, talent reviews and promotions)
Finance/HR : Collaborate with Finance and HR Team to create annual budget and quarterly outlook
Manages "puts and takes" process across organization. Handles basic HR issues
Metrics : Develops Scorecard and Dashboards, reporting on key metrics in conjunction with internal business partners (Employee Success, Finance, HR, Recruiting). Monitors operational metrics and initiates root cause analysis when anomalies are identified

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
8+ years experience in a combination of planning/delivery and operations with a track record of success Big 4 consulting experience a plus
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, negotiate corporate approvals diplomatically, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure
Strong general business acumen (finance, operations, HR), with an ability to distill complex issues, develop and implement effective strategies to drive alignment across multiple constituents and client groups
Ability to think strategically and act in a detailed, hands-on manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sound judgment about when, how, what and to whom to communicate. Deck writing and development skills are essential
Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects autonomously
BS in Technology or Business, with an MBA preferred
