Job Description:
The Sr. Director of User Experience will play a critical role in the development of new products, services, and experiences in EA's vast mobile gaming space. This person will be responsible for product ideation, user experience design, and interface design within a high profile, innovation-focused group at our Redwood Shores headquarters.

There are hundreds of millions of gamers playing the vast, AAA portfolio of EA mobile games. The Director of User Experience is part of a team focused on crafting services to enable this rapidly growing audience of gamers to connect, communicate and share their gaming experiences with their friends and wider gaming community.

The ideal candidate is expert in both user experience design and visual design, and passionately driven to create elegant consumer-facing products. In addition to this exceptional comprehension of usability and UI best practices, we seek a design team leader with impeccable taste, thorough attention to detail, and an ability to clearly and completely articulate solutions. You are obsessed with design, able to sell and defend work while professionally responding to feedback, and you thrive in a highly collaborative and iterative product environment.
Responsibilities
Contribute to product strategy: help shape the future of mobile services and help craft strategic communication to the team and larger organization
Partner closely with product management to conceptualize social, community and engagement services/systems and systems.
Define and evolve the UX design process
Oversee style guidelines and consistency of visual design across UI, promotional materials, etc.
Lead design reviews and participate in scrum meetings
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI or a design-related field is desired, plus 7+ years professional design practice
An exceptional portfolio demonstrating an ability to solve complicated challenges, with a sensitivity to intuition and emotion.
Expertise in visual design and interaction design
Fluency with mobile design best practices, platform discrepancies and human interface guidelines
Strong background in prototyping, usability testing, usability measurement and iterative product design
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
A strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript is desired
Direct experience working on a social networks and like services a plus.
