Director Sales Eaton Windsor

Job Description:
We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead and develop a global sales team. The Director of sales can be based out of a home office or Eaton location within the United States.

Principal Accountabilities
Develop and execute sales plans to meet orders, share, revenue, margin, and expense budget objectives.
Evaluate and manage new initiatives and business opportunities.
Lead and participate in complex commercial and technical negotiations.
Maintain executive contacts at large hubs and with Electrical Contractors. Customer contacts are with the airports’ Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, and Supply Chain Planning departments.
Manage a team of Sales employees in North America, the Middle East, and Europe.
Plan and implement, in cooperation with the Business Unit Manager, Individual Development Plans that will prepare qualified employees for advancement.
Review market analysis to determine customer needs, discount rates, price schedules, and reporting on the market value of the offerings.
Provide feedback to Marketing to identify and implement new opportunities for product development and enhancement.
Represent Airport Lighting Products at trade association meetings to promote Company solutions.
Maintain a commitment to the Company’s sales processes and values as well as its business Code of Ethics.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
A minimum of five (5) years of system sales experience
A minimum of three (3) years of sales management
Relocation assistance is not provided for this position. Candidates may work out of any Eaton location or home office within the United States.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Position Criteria

Ability to interact and communicate effectively within all levels of the organization, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering
Ability to solve complex business problems utilizing Sales staff, Product Line Marketing, and Engineering as well as any available technological resources
Ability to understand and effectively communicate customer needs
Demonstrated time management, teamwork, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
Experience developing direct reports and others, building consensus as well as effective teams
Experience planning and managing Sales resources to assure adequate coverage is applied to new and existing customer accounts
Knowledge of electrical products and direct sales to contractors
Knowledge of sales techniques, employee development, customers, and customer relations
Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of three (3) years of electrical system or lighting sales experience
A minimum of three (3) years of control systems sales experience
International sales experience
Product Line Marketing and/or Operations experience
