Responsible for directing the research and analysis of the company’s markets, competition, and product mix. Directs research studies and makes presentations on new market areas and future market conditions. Directs the contributions of a team of professional managers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Directs research studies and makes presentations on new market areas and future market conditions. Analyzes the competitive environment sales records, market penetration, market potential and future trends and makes decisions based on findings. Requires expert knowledge within the market research field and the ability to integrate critical information from many diverse areas. Applies and/or develops advanced concepts. Work prioritization and decisions are important to the overall success of all aspects and phases of the organization. Develops guidelines and implementation procedures for new strategies and policies. May manage projects performed by outside research firms. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Evaluates the performance, career planning and development for the team. Influences decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates. Oversees compensation programs which are designed to attract, retain and motivate employees. Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience: Typically requires 10 or more years of experience. This position is in The AT&T Partner Exchange group. The group is transforming the way telecom solutions are sold to business customers. The team operates in an open, collaborative environment. The Director of Marketing Analytics leads a high performing team of quant marketers and data analysts responsible for using advanced analytics to drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience. The position requires working closely with the sales, marketing, customer experience, business development, pricing, and dev-ops teams. A successful candidate will be a strong strategic leader with data-first mindset, exceptional analytical skills, outstanding communication ability, and skilled at inspiring teams to deliver stretch goals.

Responsibilities
Direct the work of the marketing analytics team by establishing overall vision and ongoing goals and objectives
Hire and develop analysts with strong analytical skills and business acumen. Coach them to deliver stretch goals
Review and inspect models and analysis for relevance, accuracy and usability
Identify novel and creative predictive analytics and leading indicators to drive revenue and margin growth for the business
Partner with finance, product and marketing teams in development of strategic plans, business cases and decision support analyses
Work closely with marketing team to measure and maximize return on marketing investment
Build strong relationships with peers and senior leaders across functions to collaboratively drive business results
Be a change agent by using data-driven insights to affect changes across the organization
Communicate complex concepts, analytical models and business insights in a persuasive and intuitive manner to drive adoption and action
Work closely with the business intelligence and database teams to ensure ongoing focus on data centralization, high data integrity and availability
Lead the team to deliver key metrics, dashboards and actionable insights to support day-to-day decision making, leadership reviews and external media and analyst communications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline, including Finance, Economics, Statistics or Engineering
4 or more years of experience in marketing analytics, finance or other data-driven business functions
Proven track record of creative problem solving and strategic thinking to solve difficult business problems using data
Familiarity with statistical models, predictive analytics, or machine learning and manipulating large amounts of data
Some experience with financial analysis and modeling
Excellent communication skills, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
Basic knowledge of databases, SQL and data management principles
Working knowledge of one or more analytical and data tools including R, SAS, JMP and Tableau, MS Access
Proven track record managing complex projects and experience with presenting to leadership
Collaborative working style, strong listening skills, with ability to incorporate multiple viewpoints into discussion and decision making

Desired Qualifications
MBA or an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field highly desired
1 or more years of people management experience
Solid understanding of database concepts fueled by a passion for data
A curiosity for the analytical challenges presented by intricate Business-to-business relationships and hierarchies
Demonstrated ability to be a persuasive team player who can negotiate with and influence a wide range of business constituencies
Experienced in predictive analytics with proven history of delivering exceptional business results using predictive tools and models
Able to teach the team new approaches and advanced analytics techniques
