Job Description:
Responsible for development and attainment of sales objectives through subordinate sales personnel within single or multiple sales channels for a geographic area. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Directs teams led by Territory Sales Managers to manage dealer and national retail stores over a defined territory. Responsible for successfully achieving sales, revenue targets, and customer satisfaction within assigned geographical area and customer base; also responsible for hiring, coaching, and development within his/her territory. The territory can consist of a region or a densely populated market.
Manage the training delivery by Territory Managers and Indirect Sales Managers within defined territory. Coordinates with portfolio manager to approve new locations and ensure construction meets company standards. Responsible for identifying local distribution opportunities, typically single store dealers and smaller operations. Overall leadership of sales team to include, but not limited to, staffing retention, team development, performance and compensation management. Develop national and local distribution strategies for product sales, service, and dedicated payment locations. This job key applies to employees who spend more than 50% of their time performing duties directly related to making sales away from their offices at a customer's place of business or home. Duties directly related to making sales includes:
Meeting with customers and engaging in sales activities at the customer's site; communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc. related to proposed solutions/sales, etc.; traveling to and from the customer's premise for the purpose of engaging in sales activities; providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to sales; advising customers on suitability of products based on technical needs; preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solutions/sales; researching and developing customer solutions with AT&T external partners, including design and engineering; and researching customer business and industry to identify new sales opportunities. Education:
Bachelors degree or related experience preferred. Experience:
5+ years indirect retail management, customer facing, sales experience, 2 years sales management experience preferred, excellent negotiating skills to achieving sales goals, analyzing sales trends, and operations management. Supervisory:
