Job Description:
The senior level IT leader for the delivery of store solutions has overall responsibility for department decisions and the delivery of technology components in the store technology stack. This includes store infrastructure, NCR Aloha POS components, manager back office applications, and other in-store solutions used by CEC.
The role will provide strategic direction, coaches and mentors peers and partners. Accountable for IT functional/ departmental results.
Key areas of responsibility include: (1) Work with the CEC Business Operations team to identify value-driving investments and process changes related to store technology, (2) Deliver store technology solutions and services, (3) Oversee teams and vendors who provide solutions and services to the field operation, (4) Work with the IT Steering Committee, and IT Security Steering Committee to prioritize efforts, communicate status, and facilitate IT governance tasks.
Leads the assessment of roadmapping, potential project assessments and business case development when projects are contemplating the migration to new technologies, services, or vendors. Work in collaboration with peers in the infrastructure, and security organizations to define and evolve the store architecture. Partners with solution delivery teams to understand solution needs and defines and advises on infrastructure components of their projects. Participates in the design review board and change advisory board processes.
Deep experience operating in a heavily outsourced, multi location, global IT delivery model is required, along with a process orientation, understanding of IT strategy, strong project management skills, and outstanding communication and presentation skills.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage the overall field operations IT-business relationship
• Developing the overall store solutions roadmap for the company and owning the overall architecture of the environment
• Program manage store solutions initiatives, most of which involve vendors and partners
• Contributing to the IT Steering Committee governance process
• Oversee teams/vendors responsible for the delivery of store solutions
• Managing relationships with key vendors to understand and incorporate their risk mitigation plans into those of the company
• Educating the organization on information security behaviors and best practices
Job Requirements:
• Education – BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree preferred
• Experience - Has 10 to 15 years of IT and business industry work experience, with leadership experience in managing multiple cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. A demonstrable history of influencing others through consensus building in a cross functional / matrix environment.
• Technology - Understands all components of multi-location retail IT infrastructure and how they support the business; familiarity with NCR Aloha platform, or equivalent.
• Process Management – Familiarity with ITIL process principles. Process oriented and implements, operates, and designs and improves processes to get things done.
• Vendor Management – Able to develop relationships and define processes and services with vendors. Able to develop metrics that measure the value contributed by partners and hold them accountable for results.
• Developing Direct Reports - Holds frequent development discussions; constructs compelling development plans and executes them; will take on those who need help and further development; is a people builder.
Physical Demands
To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 – 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8 hour shift, with frequent overtime.
