Twitter is looking for an outstanding product leader to oversee the core of the product: the home timeline, email and push notifications, search, and the logged-out user experience. This is the heart of what makes Twitter magical for hundreds of millions of people each month—over 300 million people logged in, and over 500 million people logged out—and with recent improvements in the underlying technology, we are poised to make very meaningful product bets.
You will lead a strong team of product managers and mentor them through all facets of product development, from setting product vision, to establishing the pace of product execution, and raising the bar on ideas from individual teams. The role will frequently involve working directly with the CEO and the senior management team.
We’re looking for a Director of Product with a strong technical background who excels at user-centric product design and has a knack for rallying teams of engineers and designers to build delightful products. The ideal candidate would find themselves equally at home working on either Search Quality/Recommender Systems at a major search/media company (strong backend, technical abilities) or being the founder/CEO of a consumer startup (equally strong user and design focus).
Desired Skills and Experience

A track record of building great products
Technical depth that lets you understand and earn the respect of world-class engineers
An appreciation for design and an ability to work with opinionated designers
Exceptionally clear and precise communication
5-10 years of product management experience, and three or more years of experience managing teams of product managers
Strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making
BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field (MS is a plus)
