Job Description:
We are looking for a Director of Private Donor Group (PDG) marketing to help drive this effort. This individual will report to and work closely with the Vice President of Donor/NPO Marketing to generate awareness among prospective donors, and drive acquisition, development, and retention efforts through comprehensive and integrated marketing programs. In addition, the Director of Private Donor Group Marketing is responsible for the ongoing governance, oversight, and development of internal processes to ensure consistency with the brand across communications channels.
The ideal candidate will have specific experience managing relationships with high net-worth individuals and families within a nonprofit organization environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Donor Engagement & Retention
Partner with relationship managers to lead the development and execution of a structured engagement platform and retain high net-worth donors:
Facilitate tailored onboarding process to introduce PDG participants to Fidelity Charitable
Design or curate events and learning experiences to encourage thoughtful grant-making, including Family participation
Develop audience-appropriate fundraising materials to drive continued contributions from existing donors
Content Marketing & Social Media
Lead the strategy and execution of a content marketing strategy and plan for social media to drive awareness with prospective high net-worth donors:
Develop ongoing and opportunistic prospective and current donor approaches across both internal and external audiences. Manage project timelines, budgets, stakeholders, deliverables, and reporting
Lead social media efforts for high net-worth donors and develop best practices for social engagement
Identify and partner with third-party philanthropic think tanks and authors to develop relevant content for donor education and engagement
Campaign Strategy Development & Execution
Lead the strategic development and delivery of innovative and integrated consumer lead generation campaigns:
Define and implement cross-channel delivery strategies (messages, content, and experiences) to drive the overall donor experience
Build our personalization strategy and rule development (in conjunction with Analytics team)
Oversee creative development of programs to ensure deliverables are high quality, aligned with brand strategy, on time, and on budget
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience, including consumer marketing and non-profit organization marketing or development
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of charitable giving products and marketplace, and familiarity with philanthropic trends among high net-worth individuals and families
Strong business acumen, project management, and marketing strategy skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships across functional areas
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, problem solve, make and suggest decisions, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
