Director Marketing Immersion Corporation San Jose

Job Description:
A seasoned Director of Marketing to lead Immersion’s marketing team including marketing communications, product marketing, investor relations, public relations, corporate events, and website development.
What you’ll do:

Develop and build the strategic vision for marketing in collaboration with the leadership team with the goal of identifying areas for growth;
Define and execute a comprehensive market strategy across multiple market segments worldwide to drive awareness of Immersion’s product lines
Own product marketing strategy for new products, establishing key value propositions, messaging and blueprints for bringing new products to market;
Hold responsibility for the company’s overall brand, positioning including corporate web presence, internet communication strategies, conference presence, PR and more;
Provide strategic and tactical direction for Marketing including planning, budgeting, and scheduling
Lead marketing team of five
Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Engineering Services, Legal, and Finance


Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
MBA and 8+ years of related marketing leadership experience; industry experience in mobile, and/or content-media desired.
Forward-thinking leader with the ability to create strategy, drive decisions and take action;
Leadership experience in launching & marketing embedded software products
High level strategic thinking to develop strategies and plans to achieve organizational goals
Solid reputation as a thought leader and excellent communicator of company & product visions
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, including influencing at executive level
Collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with other departments to create tightly integrated strategies;
Work experience and in-depth knowledge in mobile devices, wearables, on-line entertainment, chat, and advertising business
Experience with technology licensing business models
Knowledgeable about user experience, preferably familiar with haptics and touch interaction or comparable
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
Ability to balance competing priorities;
Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional and personal relationships with key business partners and customers positively impacting business growth
Experience working in multinational companies
Experience working in an early stage market company
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Must be willing to travel up to 35 or 50% of the time.
