Job Description:
IT Director, Pre-Approval Access Programs. This Role Will Be The BTL (Business Technology Lead) For Pre-approval Access And Will Be Expected To Participate In Strategic Planning, Business Planning And Business Analysis, Needs Analysis And Business Risk Assessment, And Consult With Business Partners To Shape Demand And Determine How To Best Support The Business Through The Effective Use Of Technology. This Role Will Interface With And Manage Strategic Relationships With Partners (who May Be In IT Or The Business) By Representing And Promoting IT Capabilities And Will

Possess knowledge & understanding of Clinical and Safety organizations, systems and processes, specifically relating to Pre-approval Access Programs.
Partner with multiple business functions in developing a long-term vision and strategy for pre-approval access process and capabilities.
Develop solution recommendation that provides for the intake, workflow and disposition of Named Patient Programs (NPPs), Single Patient Requests (SPR), and other access programs.
Address needs of multiple stakeholders including physicians requesting access on behalf of patients, internal users responsible for processing and fulfilling access requests, and 3rd party organization(s) that review/recommend adjudication of requests. Enable views, reports and analytical capabilities.
Define integration requirements to up/down stream systems including: CTMS, MDM, Document Managements, Safety systems, clinical supply, and DW/BI.
Develop/recommend project governance model, implementation approach, project estimates, capital appropriation request, and high level project plan.
Represents the sector as a spokesperson across the enterprise and understands the context of how the sectors/GOC fit into the overall One IT strategy and also the broader J&J strategy.
Address complex problems with broad implications for IT architecture, balancing the often competing needs of standardization and innovation.
Ensure solutions are consistent with business objectives or business strategy.
Anticipate business needs to influence the development of solutions; maneuvers through a matrixed set of relationships, influencing direction and receiving input from various stakeholders.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience OR 10 years with advanced degree or equivalent is also required
Experience working with safety and clinical business teams is required.
Knowledge and understanding of Clinical and Safety organizations, systems and processes, specifically relating to Pre-approval Access Programs is preferred.
Experience in System and Technology Integration is preferred.
Experience of pre-approval access programs either personal or professional is also required.
Strong program management skills , including experience working on global complex programs is required.
Experience leading teams is also required.
Strong experience information seeking and understanding of business needs is preferred
Experience in IT Planning , Coordination and business assessment is required.
Experience impacting others, with understanding of organizational and cultural influences is preferred.
Ability to manage change in IT is required.
Ability to manage IT like a business and stay current with industry trends is preferred.
