Job Description:
This position is accountable for the creation, development and implementation of the global Avnet brand strategy and program development for Avnet worldwide. Supports the divisional and regional constituencies in positioning and development of the tools needed to brand and market Avnet in a consistent, aspirational light to our customers and partners worldwide. The successful leader will collaborate on plans and campaign execution leading Avnet with strategy alignment, brand guidelines, brand style guides and key brand assets such as photography, logos, etc.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
This position has primary stewardship of the Avnet brand globally as we seek to unify our voice in the market to more effectively build and strengthen this important asset.
Develops and maintains key messaging, branding guidelines and design templates to effectively communicate Avnet’s value proposition in a crowded yet open marketplace.
Builds and communicates a global brand architecture to all our businesses around the world to thrive and grow while all feeding back to the promise of the Avnet master brand.
Researches, proposes and executes new methods to increase Avnet brand perception and awareness.
Leads a small team of professionals to successfully develop, execute and measure the ROI for brand specific programs and ensure global consistently as we work to build one Avnet presence around the world.
Influences indirect resources within Avnet to achieve brand goals. Interfacing with agencies who
manage our brand efforts (advertising, PR, Web, events, brand etc.) Approve and co‐ordinate
vendor/3party involvement detailing responsibilities and managing these relationships.
Work with the Corporate Marketing and Communications team and the Creative Services leader to assist in the development of advertising content and brand assets.
Assist the Creative Services team in delivering market‐leading advertising content and collateral that successfully builds the Avnet brand and inspires new depth and meaning to Avnet’s products and services.
Liaise with the BU and regional marketing teams to ensure key messaging alignment and brand strategy/guidelines are appropriately implemented in local campaigns.
Work Experience Requirements
Ten years of marketing experience or equivalent required
Five of those years at Director Level
Education & Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other applicable field of study or equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience is required.
MBA is preferred.
