Senior Director Specialty Pricing Desks Hertz Ester

Job Description:
The Senior Director; Speciality Pricing Desks oversee the specialty Pricing Desks (i.e., Partnership, Inbound, Opaque and Intercity) to drive optimal revenue and contribution performance within and across each. Given this individual’s “bird’s-eye view” of revenue management across segments and channels, this person will guide the balance for volume across the desks based on the division’s current performance and needs.
In close coordination with the Vice President, Revenue Management Operations define the evolving roles of the desks given the more holistic revenue management conditions and strategies.


Clearly identify and develop complementary strategies for the four desks, modulating these strategies over time based on changing supply and demand conditions.
Drive development and improvement of KPIs across the desks; ensure attentive monitoring of the KPIs to ensure that actions within and across the desks are taken quickly.
Achieve or exceed revenue and targets/metrics for the desks.
Work with stakeholders across COEs (e.g., Sales) to gain alignment on strategies and goals.
Create deep expertise within each desk with respect to its relevant customer segments.
Ensure continuity of knowledge across Directors and staff working on all of the desks.
Facilitate training of staff under the individual’s direct and indirect control, focusing on a full understanding of the Contribution Management process and relevant levers.
Guide, review and (when appropriate) present progress updates on each of the pricing desks (e.g., current Revenue PMO process).
Hire (as applicable), develop, manage and retain productive and effective desk leaders and analysts.

Educational Background
Bachelors level degree required; Advanced Degree strongly preferred .
Desired fields of study include: Revenue Management/Pricing, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences, or other analytically minded field.

Professional Experience
Minimum of 3 years demonstrated ability at the Director level.
10+ years of experience in Revenue or Yield Management; revenue optimization strategies in car rental or related travel and transportation industries highly desired .
Experience managing and developing multiple teams within a complex, demand/supply planning environment.
Proven ability to develop business partnerships with a variety of stakeholders inside and outside of the division.
Process innovation and development; management via KPIs, business process redesign.

Knowledge
Knowledge of revenue optimization and forecasting systems, processes, and strategies (ideally familiarity with PROS Revenue Management and their systems).

Skills
Strong Leadership skills and ability to build business partnerships.
Excellent computer skills are essential (advanced Excel, Access, planning/forecasting tools).
Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong skills in large scale project management.
