Senior Director Infrastructure Operations NVIDIA Santa Clara

Job Description:
NVIDIA is seeking an innovative and driven executive to lead NVIDIA�s Software Infrastructure and Operations organization. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Software, this is a critical leadership role touching all aspects of software including planning, development, and release management across multiple business units and product lines.
The successful candidate will lead the other Software Functional Leaders in planning and executing a comprehensive cross-functional strategy to continually optimize the software workflow for NVIDIA�s thousands of globally distributed software engineers.

The applicant will be expected to have:
- A very strong understanding of software development best practices and methodologies. Acumen towards how to adopt and integrate such practices into a dynamic software development workflow that is leveraged for products across multiple discrete markets. A proven ability to quantify and measure the impact of such changes.
- Proven track record of managing world class large scale, distributed enterprise class software tools and products. The candidate will be expected to articulate clearly how to achieve high availability, 99.99% system uptime, system accuracy, etc.
- Knowledge and willingness to continually stay on top of the latest software products and technologies, and be able to internalize how new technologies can be integrated into NVIDIA�s software workflow to drive efficiency.
- Strong experience with simultaneously balancing immediate business priorities/projects while driving the overarching strategic vision.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and driving strategic changes in large fast moving organizations

The successful candidate will need to be able to understand the strategic vision of the company, and articulate how infrastructure & operations can be leveraged to accelerate the realization of overall priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership to the Infrastructure and Operations team by defining operational goals, objectives, and priorities
- Work with the leadership team to establish and manage projects & priorities in support of business objectives and create an environment that fosters collaboration across all functions
- Grow the capability, capacity, and efficiency of the team by assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the organization; lead the hiring of additional key resources and the performance management and talent development of existing staff
- Lead strategic planning and vision for the team, and manage the technology/operations investments and budget accordingly
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive KPI reporting strategy that enables functional leaders to understand performance and maximize results from their teams and individuals
- Design and implement processes that increase throughput and reduce cycle time and track productivity/quality metrics to maximize developer efficiency

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor/Master�s degree in relevant area and equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years� experience leading an operational and infrastructure organization or similar functions. Past experience running a SaaS organization a nice to have.
- Proven leadership skills, business acumen, and ability to lead and operate at a macro level
- Experience with structured continuous improvement/problem solving methodologies
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, specifically a demonstrated ability to guide and influence within a matrix environment
