Director SW Business Transformation Juniper Networks Sunnyvale

Job Description:
Juniper is seeking an experienced leader to provide senior expertise and thought leadership help drive the strategic development and operationalization of the company’s software imperative . The core aspect of the job is to organize, evaluate, align and implement this highly visible and critical SW transformation initiative in Juniper.

This individual will report to the Sr. Director and Head of Juniper Development and Innovation (JDI) Operations. Juniper Development and Innovation (JDI) is the organization responsible for the Development of Juniper’s products and solutions. JDI Operations is the team responsible for optimizing, aligning and accelerating JDI execution. Operationalizing our SW Transformation is currently a key focal area for the JDI Operations team.

Responsibilities :

In this role this person will partner with key Leaders across Juniper to attain the mission of the initiative. This initiative will enable Juniper to monetize its SW assets and grow SW revenue. This individual will therefore have a significant opportunity to impact the growth and future of Juniper.

Some specific areas of focus:

· Define/execute a comprehensive strategy for software license entitlement management across product lines.

· Lead a build vs buy analysis and decision on external vs organic solution

· Define/drive framework adoption throughout the lifecycle of a license entitlement, from evaluation, quoting and fulfillment through license activation, usage tracking/reporting, renewals and upgrades.

· Form and lead cross-functional teams to execute on operational requirements.

· Work closely with senior leadership across Juniper to align commercial models and go-to-market enablement.

· Establish and drive governance structure across Engineering and cross-functional leaders to assure buy-in, support and engagement of the broader team.

Requirements :

The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical, leadership and organization persuasion skills. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple functions, establishing and delivering optimal aligned strategies that support the growth of the business.

· Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.

· 12-15 years of hands on leadership roles in and around the high-tech industry

· Knowledge of software industry is a must

· Experience with software platform offerings required

· Experience with new industry pricing models desired

· Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships across multiple functions

· Strategic thinker able to gain a quick understanding of the product lines and business

· Proven ability to lead through influence and drive change

· Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

· Strong project management, planning and organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment

· Experience managing highly-talented individuals in both direct and matrixed reporting structures.
