Director Sales Financial Institutions Western Union Columbia

Job Description:
Right now, we are seeking a Director of Sales - Financial Institutions with a work location at either of the following areas: Washington, DC, New York, NY, Omaha, NE or Los Angeles, CA.

In this role you will reports to the VP, US Sales. You will be responsible for managing the new, transition and core revenue budgets for Financial Institution customers across the US region. You will also establish the Western Union value proposition with employees, customers and prospects across the Financial Institution business in the US.

In Addition, You Will
Establish a market leading approach to Financial Institutions in the US
Drive customer success through existing delivery channels and establish cross company approach to the market for Financial Institutions
Retain (top 50) key accounts through proactive account management disciplines
Develop or Identify and Teach Account Management/Core Account planning best practices and Implement across the whole FI Business
Recruit and retain necessary talent to drive success
Develop FI leadership structure and leaders
Establish succession planning for the FI business
Alignment/Workouts with Operations, Credit, Compliance to deliver best in class results/customer service
Lead a dedicated team of Sales and Dealing professionals across the market to meet and exceed annual new, core and transition revenue budgets
Develop budgets, business plans and sales strategies for the US Financial Institutions business to meet or exceed revenue budgets and business objectives
Conduct regular coaching and counseling sessions to build motivation and sales management skills
Conduct training to equip the sales and dealing teams on product knowledge, client management and selling skills
Work to foster growth and a positive team environment
Ensure regular communication to sales and dealing teams to align them with the company's vision and market objectives
Provide weekly reporting of pipeline and forecasts
Work closely with Marketing and Demand Generation teams to launch sales strategies
Ensure sales teams meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, sign-ups and first time trades
Ensure Account Management and dealing team builds business/account plans and delivers against those plans
Ensure Account Management and Dealing team builds and executes retention strategies
Ensure growth and retention of current customer numbers and customer revenues
Coach Sales, Account Management and Dealing team leaders in leadership and management skills
Collaborate with internal department heads and regional function heads on business initiatives and projects
Undertake any projects as assigned by the VP, Head of North America or VP, US Sales

Qualifications
Degree holder with proven track record in leading a corporate business to business (b2b) sales team.
Driven and self-motivated to exceed goals
Confident and persuasive communicator
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to collaborate across departments, functions and time zones
Able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent salesforce.com skills
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of foreign exchange products would be a distinct advantage
Knowledge of US Financial Institution marketplace
