Director Sales Eaton Camarillo

Job Description:
Eaton has an opening for a Sales Director in Camarillo, California.

Primary Responsibilities
The Mil-Aero/Subsea Sales Director manages and leads the Sales and Customer Service organizations for Mil-Aero/Subsea Division which includes Sales professionals and global channel partners across, along with a team of Customer Service professionals. Establishes vision for the future – a sense of direction encompassing alignment of overall goals and budgets with the segment, division and corporate goals – and the role of field Sales in achieving them.

Directs performance by driving high level of accountability and customer satisfaction to both external and internal customers. Designs and ensures sales processes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of winning at the customer. Develops key account plans with all stakeholders with communication processes to ensure cross-functional involvement and alignment.

Essential Functions

A. Communicates a clear vision, strategy and top priorities along with progress toward those goals to the selling organization and the Interconnect organization.

B. Develops and drives account planning, follow-up, pipeline development and management, and negotiation for the Sales force in a structured manner.

C. Creates annual regional territory Sales plans including performance goals for each Sales person balancing account strategies and business unit needs.

D. Implements robust monthly reporting on performance regarding bookings, billings, and backlog and initiates countermeasures for gaps to drive accountability.

E. Manages the Value Selling process to improve strategic thinking of all Interconnect stakeholders and improves our customer valued differentiation for each new Sales opportunity.

F. Directs relationships with key channel partners including performance management and planning activities.

G. Manages, coaches, and mentors Sales and Customer Service teams through performance management, talent development, annual incentive plan design, process focus and various other tools/facets.

H. Develop metrics and processes to measure and improve productivity within the Customer Service group with clear visibility to various stages of quote activity, as well as win-loss rates, etc.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales position

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), have been granted Political Asylum, or Refugee.
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales position military, aerospace, and/or subsea markets
Experience in managing the sales channel utilizing a CRM system
Minimum of 5 years Sales experience of engineered-to-order products
Master’s Degree or MBA
