Job Description:
At GoDaddy, you will be responsible for managing key marketing and sales initiatives as part of an integrated, solution oriented sales & marketing plan driving revenue and profitability for the GoDaddy Services business lines. The role includes developing deep customer insights and creating effective marketing plans & strategies across key small business segments to drive demand and penetration across a portfolio of service offerings. This role includes developing and communicating compelling value propositions through effective messaging, merchandising, and lead generation to a diverse set of customer targets. The role will work across the product, marketing, sales and channel teams to ensure successful execution.
Responsibilities:
Know the small business customer, know the products & services, and connect them through our web and sales team to drive exceptional business results
Own and manage key marketing initiatives to drive revenue & profitability for the Services (Websites, Online Marketing) business line by developing insights and analysis to drive value proposition, feature set, naming, messaging, pricing, lead generation and lifecycle/lead-nurture marketing approach
Develop compelling product positioning, messaging, naming & benefits platform, based on customer & competitive insights that position and differentiate our products in the market.
Develop effective web-based (and other source) lead generation programs for GoDaddy's Services sales teams.
Develop innovative marketing strategies and programs to drive category awareness and penetration among targeted customer segments.
Own and set strategy to achieve penetration in key small business segments. Provide insights and analysis to define strategy, and drive messaging and marketing approach, closely collaborating with key marketing counterparts in eCommerce, online/offline acquisition, partners, brand, and sales.
Drive quantitative and qualitative customer intelligence and research in order to better understand customer profile, needs and behavior to meet business goals
Drive annual and quarterly marketing plans and business goals cross-functionally
Develop and build strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders in an effort to collaborate and drive the overall business
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in marketing, with specific experience in small business/consumer technology-driven brands and experience in web/software applications
Proven experience leading the marketing strategy development and execution for a product portfolio
A customer-centric view with a passion for gaining customer insights and translating insights into strategies
Strong experience in developing simple, consumer-oriented messaging and positioning for a technical product based on market research and insights
Strong business and marketing acumen, with strong ability to generate creative, original marketing approaches based on customer insights
Proven ability to initiate, drive and scale effective lead generation and lead nurture programs with telesales organization
Solid analytical ability, with track record of “test & learn” mindset
Superior leadership qualities, with a track-record of increasing responsibility and results in a cross-functional, team environment
Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and simply
The ability to adapt to changing environments quickly
An innate bias toward action and is a strong self-starter
