Job Description:
The position will lead Fleetmatics’ field service, scheduling and dispatch product areas. The incumbent will be results driven, capable of formulating and socializing a strategic vision and has significant experience with new product development in software for small and mid-sized businesses. The individual must possess a unique blend of business, technical and analytical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. As the chief product owner for the field service market, this position will be responsible for the end to end experience for the customer.
Responsible product strategy and product vision for the field service, scheduling and dispatch markets including long term product roadmap and short term product backlog
Work across departments to produce an end to end customer experience that results in market leading Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and contributes to overall company goals
Define target customer segments for the field service product line including industry and size
Responsible for product positioning including articulating customer problem and solution and partnering with product marketing to craft product messaging briefs for product launch cycles
Partner with Product Design and Business Analysis teams to translate product vision into detailed product requirements for Development
Serve as product owner for the overall product development organization including direction on priorities and release planning as well as decision making support for Development team throughout sprints and release cycles
8+ years of software product management experience targeting small to mid-sized businesses, preferably in software-as-a-service (SaaS)
Degree in business, management, computer science, software engineering, design or other related field; MBA preferred
Passion for technology, great products and an innate curiosity for how things work
Positive attitude and ability to see opportunities everywhere and create simple, elegant solutions for the customer, whether with technology, policy, or service design to support a great experience
Relationship builder who enjoys working with a variety of people and functions at all levels of the company–engineering, design, operations, sales, marketing executives and others
Natural thought leader, strategic, analytical, and creative. Decisive yet patient with excellent judgment.
