Director Development Operations Playworks Oakland

Job Description:
The Director of Development Operations is a critically important position at Playworks. This position is responsible for coordinating the logistics and operations of the national development, regional development and marketing team activities which will fuel Playworks' effort to reach 5 million kids by 2025. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Development Officer and work closely with the Director of Development Research and Relationship Management.

More Specifically, The Director Of Development Operations Will
Oversee our Salesforce database and build analytic tools and capabilities, in conjunction with IT Solutions, including providing training for development professionals across the organization
In partnership with Director of Development Research and Relationship Management analyze donor cycle via Salesforce and make improvements to relationship management practices across the organization.
Manage campaigns in Salesforce in collaboration with marketing
Project manage large fundraising initiatives including but not limited to End of Year Annual Appeal.
Be responsible for internal communication strategies within the development office and across the organization that foster an atmosphere of open communication.
Build and maintain the annual budget, oversee forecasting activities and act as the primary liaison with the finance office
Supervise administrative and gift processing functions in the development office
Ensure that stewardship activities are being conducted in a quality manner and on a timely basis
Lead development office human resource responsibilities and performance management systems.
Manage the master internal calendar for all development and revenue programs.
Coordinate and lead office activities when the CDO is traveling or out of office.

Skills/qualities
Trust, accountability and honesty is essential
Bachelor’s degree required.
Proven experience leveraging data to make sound, data-driven decisions
Experience with nonprofit organizations, fundraising departments and with operations roles a plus
Experience managing Salesforce or another CRM required
Proven success, as evidenced by progressive advancement, in increasingly responsible development or management roles
Project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and the ability to balance multiple tasks and projects while delivering quality work on schedule
Interest in, and ability to articulate the mission of Playworks
