Job Description:
Pandora is looking for a Director Music Maker Services in our Oakland headquarters, who exemplifies the Pandora principles of self-motivation, passion, collaboration, experience and perspective. As a key leader in our Music Maker Services team, this individual will hire, coach and mentor the Music Maker Services team on existing process, while guiding the design and execution of a fully scaled artist services platform. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with partners in the Pandora organization will be key to the candidate’s success, along with a personal desire to mentor and develop the Music Maker Services team. The ideal candidate is an expert at communicating the big picture up and down the organization, but is able and willing to be hands-on and understand all tasks and responsibilities of their team. This individual will work closely with cross-functional internal teams such as Music Maker Group, Creative Services, Marketing, Product, and Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Directly manage a team of individual contributors and oversee the day-to-day operations including staff management, workload distribution, organizational strategy and deployment, training/onboarding, and troubleshooting
Evaluate existing and implement new business processes and systems; ensure adoption of new systems and play a major role in change management, evolving to include a self-serve platform for artists
Act as key point of contact for music makers to drive promotions for live events and recorded content
Responsible for aligning and driving towards Music Maker goals across a variety of promotional channels
Provide hands-on assistance in developing realistic timelines for custom initiatives by engaging with cross-functional teams
Provide team members with thorough support on all artist promotional campaigns and provide clear direction to team members
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years professional experience in a strategy and operations role
Proven success leading change management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, preferably managing a team with operations functions
Demonstrable ability to support complex business operations and drive efficiencies through process improvements/automation
Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm, motivate strategic thinking and ensure insightful problem solving; should have a high EQ
Excellent written/verbal communication skills; polished and professional demeanor
Analytical with a high aptitude for data and strong work ethic
Proficiency with SalesForce, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint a plus
BA/BS degree required; MBA desirable
