Job Description:
Leads the planning and development of initiatives to support the Oakley Defense brands – both Oakley Military and Eye Safety Systems (ESS). Reporting directly to the VP of Oakley Defense, this person will partner closely with the brand marketing and sales teams to ensure a holistic and consistent approach for all customer touch points.
The Essential Functions
Brand Leadership. Ensure consistent, integrated campaigns and communications across all consumer touch points. Reinforce Oakley Defense vision and brand initiatives with partners.
Initiative Development & Implementation. Develop integrated marketing campaigns to support key brand initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure a consistent consumer experience across all touch points. Identify potential risks and barriers and develop contingency plans to move initiatives forward.
Digital Marketing. Collaborate closely with Digital Sales Manager and web team to develop web marketing plan, to include site merchandising, SEO and promotions to drive sales and increase conversion rate.
New Idea Development. Partner in developing and implementing test-and-learn initiatives based on opportunities, consumer insights and industry trends.
Marketing Analysis. Conduct the post-campaign analysis and identify and recommend opportunities to enhance current and future marketing initiatives.
Team Development. Lead, manage, motivate and help develop team members to help maximize engagement and productivity while strengthening retention of key talent.
THE QUALIFIERS
Strong experience in website management / analytics required.
General marketing knowledge including traditional, social and innovative marketing channels.
Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of field and senior management.
Skill set to present ideas and information in a way that creates a climate in which others are informed and want to participate in driving organizational changes and priorities.
Demonstrates good judgment and business/leadership maturity.
Ability to think critically and creatively in order to bring forward a strategic point of view.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Exhibits attention to detail and demonstrated consistent follow-through.
Exhibits project management and prioritization skills with a clear focus on results.
Broad marketing background and a background of success throughout career.
Exhibit creativity in conceptualizing value propositions, product configurations and marketing programs.
Comfortable with analytics and proven track record of utilizing data to track and measure results.
The ability to build relationships and work well across different levels and functions within Oakley, and other areas of Luxottica.
Bachelor's degree, in Marketing, Advertising or related field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years experience in marketing or related field
5+ years experience leading a marketing team
Experience working in an agency environment or branding a plus.
Experience marketing the launch of new products preferred
Experience with both traditional and new media
