Responsibilities:
Drive research and development projects in several domains within Life Sciences, from conception to delivering product components:
Identify opportunities for service components based on user needs and scientific principles
Develop analytics solutions for selected service use cases
Carry out research with selected external partners and research organizations to generate and validate new solutions
Establish data analytics best practices
Build and manage a team of physiological, behavioral, machine learning and data scientists
Define and build comprehensive data management infrastructure and biometric analytics portfolio
Work directly with product management, engineering, product design and senior business management to provide best practices in analytics and reporting.
Create a data-driven development culture
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
PhD combined with industry experience in fields such as Human Physiology, Neuroscience, Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Biology
7+ years in applied research in related areas, proven track record of successful individual research in more than one field
Ability to successfully lead high-performance interdisciplinary teams of experts
Deep understanding and expertise in quantitative methods (machine learning, mathematical statistics, signal processing, computer science etc.)
Understanding of scalable statistical analysis tools and systems
Solid knowledge of big data and sufficient understanding of software engineering
Ability to work in a very fast paced environment and manage a portfolio of several projects running concurrently
Experience with rapid prototyping preferred
Great communication skills and ability to collaborate with all counterparts (HW, SW, Design and Product management)
