Director Global Pricing Analytics Molex Lisle

Job Description:
Manage the Global Pricing Analyst team to optimize Molex’s pricing and the pricing process in order to improve profits for company globally. Support GSM, Product Management, Strategic Pricing Team, and Regional Pricing Teams with analysis focused on competitive market pricing methods specific to customers, markets, regions and channels. Recommend changes to pricing and the pricing processes and strive for value creation based upon analysis performed. Identify sources of profit leakage and work with the stakeholders to remedy those issues. Influence decision makers in an effort to minimize price erosion and ensure sales, product management, and pricing groups within and across regions are up to date on pricing procedures and methodologies. Ensure all levels of analysts are trained on the pricing procedures and statistical modeling tools. Provide reports/analyses as necessary to Management. Be a leader in Market Based Marketing (MBM) and succeed in creating a center of excellence within Pricing that other organizational areas can follow.

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide analytical data support to the Strategic Pricing Group to assist in identifying value creation in areas such as Competitive Pricing, Marginal Product Analysis, Divisional/Plant Utilization and Transactional Excellence. 2. Support Product Divisions, GSM Strategic and Regional Pricing Groups with pricing analysis and recommendations on existing and new products based on value and margin optimization.
Research market trends and competitive practices within and across regions and recommend changes to methodology and procedures as necessary.
Using market and process data to improve the pricing process by providing deep analysis, identifying root causes, and providing recommendations on such topics as, but not limited to: Minimizing Non-Value Add Escalations Minimizing Price Erosion Reducing Cycle Time Maximizing Revenue and Pocket Margin Maximizing MVP Accuracy (and scores) Master Data inefficiencies
Provide pricing to Product Managers / Sales for SSK customers and/or large quotes affecting multiple divisions and products within region. Reviews escalated issues from regional pricing specialists. Work with divisions/product management to resolve pricing issues in order to optimize profitability.
Provide analytical support for all GSM SSK account negotiations and ensure that account teams are well prepared with sufficient data (volume compliance, historical price downs, current/predicted profitability, etc.) for discussions with customer. Make sure that account teams have a documented strategy approach for negotiations. Support account teams with onsite prep and assistance during a negotiation, if necessary.
Participate with the development and implementation of pricing strategy across Molex. Ensure all regional groups are trained on procedures and understand the methodology. Ensure consistent pricing practices across regions.
Implement modeling tools for pricing of company products within and across regions. Ensure all regional pricing users are trained.
Assist management to develop pricing knowledge base throughout Molex.
Manage and develop global pricing analysts to ensure the goals of global pricing are met. Ensure analyst staff has training and support necessary to accomplish goals
Follow MBM guiding principles and ensure all pricing analysts apply MBM principles as part of their daily tasks. Lead by example to create a MBM Center of Excellence that will be applied for all current and future pricing analysts.
Proactively identify sources of profit leakage and provide recommendations on resolution. Work with business and process owners to implement recommendations
Provide reports and detailed analyses to management as requested.
Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
