Job Description:
The Director of the Digital Acquisition Analytics, Testing and Tracking team within Risk Management will lead a team of six high performing individuals who are responsible for the design, implementation, tracking and analysis of digital targeting strategies which will drive profitable growth and acquire new card members for American Express through site, search, media, mobile along with exploring new channels and emerging technologies. This role is critical to ensuring American Express continues to be one of the most respected players in the ever growing field of digital innovation and will partner closely with CPS Marketing, IM Digital Capabilities and Technology teams to achieve. This role reports to the Vice President, CPS Risk Acquisition and New Accounts and will be responsible for Leadership


Conceiving and driving large scale transformational digital acquisition projects
Improving channel efficiency by driving incremental conversions through insights
Influencing the allocation of AXP marketing investments, based on team’s analysis into efficient and effective targeting techniques
Provide thought leadership, and partner with cross-functional teams including Risk, Marketing, Information Management, Finance, Compliance, and Technologies
Create convincing business cases highlighting opportunities to implement innovative targeting solutions across partners and channels; infuse marketing strategy with data driven approach
Presenting insights and lessons learned from the team’s work at large forums within and outside the business unit Results
Developing more personalized efficient targeting and segmentation logic
Leading digital test and learn council which oversees testing across digital channels and ensures robust design, analysis of results and clear articulation of insights to be auctioned
Awareness and understanding of digital vendors and data providers to ensure full leverage of digital data and technologies to enhance and expand 1:1 targeting capabilities to drive best in class customer experience and maximum value from acquisitions (for example, cross device and mobile targeting)
Analyzing performance of current initiatives and present findings and solutions and review of monthly MIS and deep dive changes in trends

Qualifications

Required Skills/Qualifications: Qualifications
Strong strategic thought leadership
At least 5 years of strong analytical and problem solving experience, using quantitative analysis to solve business problems and create/action insights from analyses
Strong executive presence, collaborative/interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast changing environment with strong attention to detail
Strong people leadership skills, including career development, hard skills training, coaching through business partner relationships, etc.
Understanding of digital ecosystem from web sites, mobile applications to online advertising and familiarity with web analytical tools like Omniture and latest digital technology (DMP & DSP, Hadoop, etc.) is desirable
