Job Description:
The Director of Media, North America, is responsible for EA’s advertising buying strategy across a broad range of media types, supporting EA’s entire portfolio of games. This person will work closely with the marketing organization, centralized media buyers, and media agency to ensure a quality media performance for the portfolio. In addition, as part of a global team, the Director of Media will be expected to work independently to represent the media organization for EA’s largest market at all levels of the company.
This position is responsible for creating innovative digital advertising opportunities with EA’s leading vendors and agencies. A strong knowledge of, and interest in, digital media is required to perform this role. The Director of Media will be expected to be a thought leader within the Global Marketing Organization on the topic of driving highly effective, efficient, and personalized advertising opportunities. Managing people is also likely to be part of this role.

This is a high-profile, high-leverage role that will be responsible for daily interaction with executive leadership. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the “soft skills” needed to influence decision-making and be able to provide clear answers in ambiguous situations.

As this position reports to a Senior Director in Geneva, Switzerland, an ability to work on a remote team with limited real-time guidance is essential.

Responsibilities
Take responsibility for all media purchased on HD games (console/PC) in North America
Lead new digital media initiatives in North America
Expert on advertising strategy, platforms, and emerging opportunities
Be the primary media agent in interacting with:
The North American Marketing organization
Global Marketing Organization and product/brand management
Analytics and Consumer Insights

Manage the North American media agency relationship
Coordinate media campaigns with internal buying teams
Represent the view of Global Acquisition Marketing within cross-functional discussions
Assist senior management in understanding media performance and issues

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
Seven+ years of relevant industry experience
Demonstrated digital media acumen/interest
Interest in video gaming very helpful
Ability to travel (<20%)
