Job Description:
The Director, Institutional Marketing will be responsible McGraw-Hill Education is seeking a Director of Institutional Marketing to lead its Institutional Marketing team and develop and oversee the marketing strategy for our B2B market segments. This role requires strong leadership and change management skills, as well as a deep understanding of marketing strategy.
Critical Functions
Drive profitable customer action through strategic development of inbound and outbound marketing programs that result in increased marketing contribution to the sales pipeline. Align with the sales organization to develop buyer driven marketing and sales processes.
Work with key stakeholders to drive process improvement and foster collaboration, while serving as a model of change.
Work with direct reports and marketing ops team to oversee lead scoring, MQL/SQL hand-off, lead generation and lead nurturing programs. Develop and report on data/KPIs to measure the success of marketing programs. Optimize the marketing channel mix utilizing facts and data and recommend actionable program improvements.
Lead strategic marketing projects including market research, segmentation, value proposition, win/loss assessment and messaging strategy.
Manage and track departmental budgets.
Manage a department of seven; build a high-performance team with a focus on professional development, mentorship and coaching.
Deepen the team's understanding of the lead generation process and revenue marketing to fuel growth for the business.
Act as a change agent by modeling behavior, institutionalizing best practices and improved processes, and employing continuous marketing innovation to take the team and the company to new heights.
Foster interdepartmental collaboration and communication to build strong and productive working relationships. Prevent, manage and resolve conflicts as needed.
Required Experience
Minimum ten years professional experience in marketing, with a focus on B2B marketing. Minimum five years of management experience. Knowledge of hospital/healthcare markets a plus.
Deep understanding of marketing strategy and strong experience in lead generation/nurturing.
Five plus years’ experience leading a high-performance marketing team.
Knowledge of marketing automation and CRM utilization required.
Deep understanding of B2B marketing best practices, concepts, and dynamics.
Expertise in creating and implementing a marketing strategy to support revenue growth.
Ability to effectively collaborate across reporting lines and impact business beyond own department.
Data driven, results oriented and able to deliver consistently strong measurable results.
Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Proven ability to collaborative effectively with a sales organization, implement a consistent closed-loop process between marketing and sales, and strengthen sales and marketing alignment.
Able to build and lead a world-class marketing team and serve as a change agent to drive organizational effectiveness, improvement, and development.
