Job Description:
The ideal Director of Finance, North America Retail, is an entrepreneurial and strategic thinker who is dedicated to supporting our customers’ experience while delivering best-in-class financial services to a rapidly expanding business unit of Oakley. This individual will provide leadership in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, be able to synthesize information, and present compelling assessments to enable the retail team to make data-driven decisions. This individual will test and learn what works, successfully manage change, and problem-solve to drive the business toward meeting the strategic goals. The position will report directly to the VP of Global Retail, with dotted line reporting to the VP, Global Finance of Oakley. The role will have leadership responsibility for the North America Retail Finance Team, as well as working relationships with the International Retail and E-commerce Finance leaders. The role will own the financials for our North America Retail operations, and coordinate reporting for Oakley’s Global retail operations.
The Essential Functions
Oversee and manage the financial operations of North America retail stores, and reporting oversight for the broader International retail operations.
Responsible for monthly financial reporting, weekly KPI reporting, analytics, forecasting, budgeting, capital project tracking, and audits of financial records to ensure completeness and conformity with company and industry standards.
Provide strategic and financial input into the development of the 3-Year Plan.
Lead the development of the Annual Budget.
Conduct operational analysis (re: pricing, promotion, floor space use, inventory turns, sell-thru, product life cycle, etc.), generate insights, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies and increase profitability.
Assess current processes, and work with IT to advance automation with technology.
Develop collaborative relationships with functional business leaders to identify opportunities and influence strategic business decisions.

10+ years of retail, finance and management experience.
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 20%).
