Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Countrywide Product for Personal Lines, the Director of Homeowners is responsible for all aspects of a new homeowners’ product.
The Director of Homeowners has P&L accountability for the line of business countrywide. The director has decision making responsibility on all homeowners’ related aspects of this new product and is expected to make efficient, well-reasoned business decisions that balance the needs of various stakeholders across the MetLife Auto & Home organization.
This position will have direct reports and be expected to lead by influencing a diverse team of business partners including but not limited to Pricing, Underwriting, IT, Marketing, Claims, Finance.
Responsibilities Are Broad And Varied, And Include
Manage the P&L of the new homeowners’ product
Meet or Exceed Financial Goals for the Business:
Lead the Product formulation, execution, and improvement of the homeowners’ product.
Develop and execute the product roadmap
Establish underwriting strategy in conjunction with the AVP of Countrywide Underwriting
Establish, and Monitor the Rating and Pricing for the new homeowners’ product in conjunction with Research and Pricing.
Collaborate with Marketing to identify ways to target different demographics and areas with an emphasis on digital marketing and cross-sell.
Analyze financial performance in homeowners and put actions in place to be in front of industry trends.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Homeowners marketplace and work with Countrywide Product Development to develop new features.

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of five years of relevant industry experience
Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally within the homeowners’ product
Deep knowledge within Personal Lines Product, Actuarial, Financial, will ensure success in this role.
Experience working with Homeowners’ filings
Strong aptitude for numerical or financial evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to manage and work on multiple projects at the same time
Superior communication skills, both oral and written, ability to tailor presentations to a wide audience
Experience as a Product Manager is a plus
BS/BA in Mathematics/Business Management/ Insurance/Finance/Economics or related field
Education Required
High School Diploma/GED
