Grow The Business (Same Store Sales)
•Create and drive a culture of asset growth, continued FA development, and high retention in the complex
•Coach Branch Managers, Assistant Managers and Sales Managers to help their FAs deliver an excellent client experience, drive business growth and improve retention
•Partner with his/her team to ensure structured coaching is delivered to FAs through Branch Managers
•Lead client outreach effort and assist Branch Managers and FAs in client outreach activities
•Assess and establish robust local community presence
Grow The Business (Recruiting)
•Source, recruit, select and place the best Branch Managers and management team for the complex
•Set FA recruiting goals and establish and maintain a recruiting process •Lead FA recruiting activities, including selecting, hiring, and on-boarding FAs for both the complex branch and its associate branches
•Oversee transition of recruited FAs and ensure orientation to overall firm strategy and available resources •Equip Branch Managers with the necessary tools to help effectively on board new recruits
•Evaluate, mitigate and monitor the complex level risks associated with recruiting
Supervision and Risk Management*
•Supervisory responsibility for the complex branch and those designated functions being performed on behalf of branches within the complex •Partner with the Complex Management team to implement process improvement in the complex against established firm-wide standards
•Ensure all (standard and ad/hoc) supervisory and control functions are delegated properly and in accordance with firm requirements
•Work in partnership with the Complex and Regional teams to drive adherence to corporate risk management policies
•Monitor and resolve (in partnership with Complex, Regional and Home office teams) escalated issues, including those that are Financial, Reputational, Compliance, Supervisory, Operational and HR Governance risks
•Facilitate communication between complex supervisors and local branch management to ensure identified risk issues are communicated and addressed.
•Address audit findings collaboratively with Complex and Regional teams.
Leadership
•Set a vision for the complex and collaborate with the Complex teams, and Home Office partners to determine long term and short term growth goals for the complex
•Work with Branch Managers to develop actionable steps to attain branch goals
•Set the appropriate tone for compliance and risk management
•Inspire Branch Managers to drive initiatives in the branches
•Surface issues that are escalated from the BOMs in the complex
•Communicate effectively to Home Office, Complex and Regional management teams on the complex progress, development areas, FAs' needs, etc
Office Administration
•Partner with Complex Administration Manger to manage day-to-day activities at the complex branch, ensuring optimal execution of functions across all levels
•Manage complex level cost and efficiencies and collaborate with Market Area and regional staff to determine staffing resources against business need
•Manage the complex P&L, and incorporate P&L considerations in business decisions; Approve any authorities and expenses pursuant to those designated in the Authorities and Approvals document.
•Manage HR and personnel related issues in partnership with Complex and Home Office and collaborate with the Complex management team and Home Office partners to ensure effective, timely communication, and appropriate escalation when necessary Experience
• 5+ years of experience with a leading financial institution
• Relevant management experience as a producing branch manager, non-producing Branch Manager, or other substantive leadership role in the financial services industry
Track Record of Success

• History of executing against Firm strategy and initiatives

• Life and Health Insurance license The Complex Director is responsible for the general management and business development of the complex consisting of multiple branches, including the complex home branch. In addition to responsibility for operations, administration, and supervisory and control at the complex branch, s/he has responsibility for all supervisory and control activities in associate and satellite branches- some of which will be executed at the designated processing center. The Complex Director manages the growth and development of the Branch Managers within the complex as well as the Financial Advisors in his/her home branch. S/he acts in a leadership capacity by setting the vision, creating and executing a long-term business growth plan for the complex.
S/he must possess a comprehensive understanding of firm policies and procedures, brokerage operations principles, and regulatory rules.
