Director Revenue Cycle Patient Access PeaceHealth Vancouver

Job Description
Accountable and responsible for directing the day to day operational functions of assigned revenue cycle departments and corresponding entities. Maintains and facilitates the continual enhancement of effective and efficient operations of the revenue cycle functions throughout PeaceHeatlh.

Essential Functions

Assists with the management of Hospital and Medical Group revenue cycle processes (Including Patient Access, Billing and Collection and all related functions) through quality data, effective policies and efficient procedures. within established standards through an awareness of current developments and implementation of a sound and documented system of processing.
Ensures customer needs are in the forefront and are identified, monitored, and practices modified to maximize customer satisfaction. Track and trend customer feedback to enhance patient experience. Maintain survey results to within established standards were possible.


Motivates, facilitates, mentors and coaches team to deliver high quality, cost effective services. Maintains revenue cycle KPI’s within established industry and/or PeaceHealth standards and instill accountability and ownership at the appropriate level.
Ensures that organizational integrity/regulatory standards are maintained in all revenue cycle policies, procedures and processes. Ensure that all team members know and understand their role related to regulatory compliance.
Provides staff leadership through operations staff, including hiring, disciplinary actions, and position allocations.
Overall responsibility for assigned departmental budget oversight. Including routine monitoring, adjustment and annual budget development process.
Work collaboratively with other caregivers and teams throughout PeaceHealth to ensure that revenue and reimbursement properly report and support the services provided.
Manages and maintains Health System-wide Revenue Cycle policies, standards, processes and procedures. Provde appropriate education, training and monitoring or these policies.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in finance or a related field required.
Master’s Degree required or a combination of education and professional experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the job with agreement to obtain within 3 years of date of hire
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

Seven years progressive managerial experience in a revenue cycle environment
Minimum of five years management experience required
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
HFMA, MGMA or AHIMA certification desirable
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
OTHER SKILLS:

Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures in a hospital or Clinic environment
Must have working knowledge of EMR and Revenue Cycle tools
Must be detail oriented and well organized.
Proven team leadership skills
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications
