Job Description
This position is responsible for creating competitive advantage through marketing NetApp services across all NetApp products.
Responsibilities
Create messaging and positioning content that highlights user benefits and creates competitive advantage from our services offerings. Integrate services marketing with our product and solutions marketing efforts and promote our offerings more effectively. Develop materials for NetApp content channels including web content, blogs, TECH ONTAP, Quick Reference Guides, sales documents, etc. that create leverage and scale for our sales teams and channel partners.
Some specific priorities will be
• Relaunch our ASUP capabilities to compete more effectively
◦ Particularly focus on Nimble and Pure Cloud Assist
• Market our new extended warranty and upcoming “perpetual” support plans
◦ Compete effectively with Pure Evergreen plan
• Drive services marketing to support the CTAP effort
◦ Drive 500 customer migrations and ensure our channel engagement plan with services is solid
A key element of new content will be creating a connection from the Data Fabric vision to customer use cases and then to the NetApp services portfolio. This requires an understanding of how storage products in the portfolio relate to each other and to competitive products in the marketplace. The job also requires a strong user perspective to ensure that services features are supported with market-valued messages.
The management responsibilities of the job include directing a team of three marketing professionals to manage content creation and positioning for product announcement and launches.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
This position requires a minimum of 10 years experience in storage-related technology marketing. The ideal candidate will have a technical undergraduate degree and will have experience creating differentiated product marketing strategies. An MBA is preferred.
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 15+ years of experience is required.
- A Bachelor of Arts of Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, extremely complex technical projects.
