Director Product Management Digital Media Advertising Best Buy Seattle

Job Description
As a Director in the eCommerce product management organization, you will be responsible for outlining the product strategy and roadmaps for Digital Media and Advertising product team. There are two distinct responsibilities under this leader.

What You’ll Do

Digital Advertising: Outline the strategy for digital advertising across various BestBuy properties and customer touch points - web (mobile and desktop) and mobile/tablet apps. Build a product pipeline that can increase the advertising revenues while making it meaningful for the customer, outline the product roadmaps, work with enabler and customer experience teams to prioritize and execute on the product backlog.

Digital Media: Build the product pipeline and prioritize backlog for digital media by managing business requirements, customer experience requirements and technology needs. Digital Media consists of two facets:
Rich media (e.g: video, 3D, virtual reality) that is used to provide customers enhanced product information to support discovery and research.
Digital products (software, games, music, movies) that we merchandize and sell to our customers.

As the head of Digital Media and Advertising you will lead a team of Product Managers, Product Engineers and User Experience professionals to realize the strategy and roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
12 or more years of experience in a fast-paced consumer products or technology company with experience in web, software or product delivery industries
10 or more years of direct people management
12 or more years managing partner and vendor relationships
8 or more years of experience managing project financials and resource allocations
4 or more years of experience as a Product Manager or equivalent progressive experienc
Experience with varied production methodologies such as forms of Agile Development and/or Lean Development
Track record of defining successful strategic visions for new feature launches based on competitive analysis, industry trends, emerging technologies, and company vision
Track record of project execution; completing and shipping excellent products on time and on budget
Ability to articulate clear and concise specifications for new products and new features
Proven ability and track record for driving high quality team outcomes and enabling high functioning team environments
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Proven ability to work under rapid development cycles with larger teams to achieve a common goal
Ability to communicate with all areas of the company, across all levels within the company
Ability to understand and articulate impacts of financial decisions for the product line

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Business
4 or more years of experience in a global consumer oriented organization
