Director Nurse Education Progyny New York

Job Description
Progyny is seeking an experienced Director, Nurse Education to join our rapidly growing, pre-IPO company. This person will be integral in helping the team provide effective educational support to our patients as they navigate through their fertility journey. This is a broadly defined assignment so you will interact with all levels and functions in the organization. We're based in downtown NYC and this is an on-site position.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



The Director, Nurse Education will build and lead a team designed to be a resource for patients and staff. Through development and delivery of educational content and training materials, the Director, Nurse Education will ensure that the team assesses patient needs properly, will help guide patient education at all levels of the company, will help reduce obstacles to patient care and treatment, and will help to counsel patients as necessary during their treatment cycles. In addition, the Director, Nurse Education will help educate large employers about the latest advances in fertility treatment and help them understand why fertility coverage for their employees is important.


The ideal candidate will have experience working in the fertility space; previous work in nursing education will be helpful. Compassion, clinical expertise and a high degree of organization would all be important to be successful in this challenging and rewarding position.



Develops a continuing education plan and coordinates implementation of the education sessions for staff and consumers of Progyny offerings.
Develops educational outreach material and programs to further the mission of Progyny.
Develops a team of nurse educators to deliver content and counseling for consumers of Progyny offerings. Collaborates with the corporate educators to develop and/or implement mandatory education programs and to create site-specific programs as needed.
Provides one-on-one education to staff as needed to enhance performance.
Provides focused education onselect topics for staff and consumers of Progyny offerings as needed.
Conducts annual training with staff on new developments in the IVF field.
Collaborates with the Healthcare Services division to educate large employers and their employees on fertility related topics and works one to one with employees that have questions about their fertility coverage or treatment.






Desired Skills and Experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Job Experience:

Bachelor of Nursing/RN required, Masters or Doctorate in Nursing or related field helpful
At least 10 years of clinical nursing and leadership experience in the fertility field
Current RN license in good standing
Experience building/leading a team
Demonstrated time management skills; planning and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and maintain prioritization of key projects and deadlines
Demonstrated effective presentation skills; ability to motivate others; excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) skills – with demonstrated effectiveness to work cross-functionally and independently
Demonstrated ability to work and drive for results and with enthusiasm
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute plans in an independent environment
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with third parties using good negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to be adaptable to changing work environments and responsibilities
Fully competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Flexibility to allow for some travel
